FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN: COLORADO WIC CLINICS OPEN, BENEFITS AVAILABLE

[updated 10/30/2025]

Colorado WIC clinics will remain open and food benefits will continue to be available in November. The State of Colorado acted quickly to create a temporary stop gap if the federal shutdown continues through November.

Keep using your eWIC card to buy WIC-approved foods as usual, and attend your WIC appointments as scheduled. If you have questions about your appointment or need to schedule an appointment, call your WIC clinic.

As normal, be sure to use your October food benefits by the end of the month as they don’t roll over. Your November benefits will be available starting November 1, 2025. Check your food benefits in the WICShopper app.

Important Note about SNAP

WIC and SNAP (food assistance) are separate programs, though many families participate in both. Please visit cdhs.colorado.gov/snap for updates on SNAP funding and benefit availability.

Need Additional Food Support?
