Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)

What is the Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program or FMNP?

The Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program Nutrition Program provides WIC participants with vouchers that can be used to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and cut herbs (not potted or planted) from authorized farmers’ markets.


Who qualifies for FMNP?

Pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding individuals and children ages one through five enrolled in participating WIC clinics. List of participating WIC clinics. There is no limit on the number of eligible family members participating in the FMNP.

How to use the vouchers

  • Go to participating farmers’ markets and look for farmers displaying the FMNP sign

  • Choose from locally grown FMNP-approved produce available. See the list of approved foods. 
  • Use your vouchers to pay for the food. Pay any remaining balance with another form of payment. 
  • FMNP vouchers may be used at authorized farmers’ markets only.
