Lactaid Milk Recall Due to Possible Almond Allergen
On September 23, 2024, HP Hood LLC announced a voluntary recall on select containers of 96 oz containers of LACTAID® Milk because the product may contain trace amounts of almond, which is not listed on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. This recall only applies to those who have a sensitivity or allergy to almonds. The milk is otherwise safe to consume. For more information, please refer to the recall notice.
This recall applies to a limited number of 96 ounce (oz) plastic containers of refrigerated LACTAID Milk with the code 51-4109 P2 and the Best By Date. The code and Best By Date can be found in the center-top area of the container.
The following WIC-approved Lactaid Milks with the code 51-4109 P2 and Best By Dates listed below are included in the recall:

What to do if you have a recalled product?
- If you have any 96 oz containers of the recalled Lactaid products listed above, check the code and Best Buy date.
- If the information matches, and the product was purchased using your Colorado eWIC card, contact Hood Consumer Affairs at 800-242-2423, Monday through Friday from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Eastern Time (ET) to receive a replacement coupon.
- If you or your child have an allergy or sensitivity to almonds, do not consume the item and throw it away.
