On February 19, 2023, Reckitt/Mead Johnson voluntarily recalled two select batches of 12.9 oz cans of Enfamil ProSobee Simply Plant-Based Powder Infant Formula because of possible cross-contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria. All products distributed to stores went through extensive testing and tested negative for the bacteria. Per Reckitt/Mead Johnson, no illnesses have been reported. This recall does not include larger can sizes of powdered Prosobee, ready-to-use or concentrate formula.
